Job description

Southeastern Facility Maintenance is a multi-service field operations company serving commercial facility clients across Florida. We run on established systems and processes that have driven our growth to date. As we scale further, we need an Operations Manager who can enforce what works, sharpen what doesn't, and build what's next alongside ownership.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for an HVAC Operations Manager to own the day-to-day efficiency of our field operations including dispatch, admin, and job lifecycle from open to close. Dispatch will report directly to you. You'll be responsible for ensuring our systems stay accurate, our policies are enforced, and our operation runs the way it's built to.
This role suits someone that has experience in HVAC, General Contracting or the trades industry with real operational instincts, able to step into an established structure, hold the line on what's working, and bring sound judgment to what needs to change as we grow.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
  • Dispatch & Scheduling: Oversee dispatch operations and scheduling to ensure jobs are assigned, routed, and completed efficiently and following rotation guidelines
  • Job Lifecycle Management: Manage every job from open to close, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks and is ready for the billing department
  • BuildOps Accuracy: Own the accuracy of our job management platform, ensure dispatch and field data is entered correctly and hold the team accountable to it, utilize the platform for all P&L, efficiency and client reporting
  • Policy Enforcement: Ensure current company policies and processes are consistently followed across dispatch, admin, field operations and all departments interacting with operations.
  • Efficiency & Loss Prevention: Identify and correct practices costing the company money. Examples include billing gaps, scheduling inefficiencies, GPS tracking, parts order tracking, job clock-in/out
  • SOP Development: Enhance existing procedures and create new ones as the company scales to close any gaps you identify; once approved, own communicating and implementing them across the team. SOPs and process changes are implemented in partnership with leadership — you'll identify issues and propose solutions, and we'll finalize together before rollout.
  • Admin Oversight: Ensure day-to-day administrative processes support the field team, not slow down.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Proven experience in the trades of HVAC, General Contracting and similar service industries, managing operations, dispatch, or field service teams
  • Strong communication skills, you'll be relaying process changes to a team and reporting up to leadership
  • A forward-thinking, solutions-oriented mindset, someone who spots a broken process and brings a fix, not just a problem
  • Sharp critical thinking and reliable follow-through, you close loops, not just open them. Issues get tracked to resolution, not left half-solved
  • Comfort with (or fast ability to learn) job management/dispatch software
  • Sound judgment for knowing when to enforce, when to escalate, and when to propose change

Benefits:
  • Competitive salary
  • PTO package
  • Paid Holidays
  • Paid travel and mileage
  • Wellness options
  • Remote office computer/phone
  • Continuing education training
  • Career advancement opportunities
