About the Role

Our client, a Korean logistics company, is hiring an experienced Transportation Dispatcher to manage day-to-day dispatch operations and driver coordination. This role plans and assigns loads, manages drivers, and ensures on-time, compliant pickup and delivery. It is a good fit for someone with hands-on transportation and dispatch experience who can keep operations running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.



Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and assign loads and routes to drivers (dispatch).
  • Manage and coordinate drivers, including schedules, availability, and performance.
  • Communicate with drivers, customers, and carriers to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
  • Monitor shipments in transit and proactively resolve delays and issues.
  • Optimize routing for efficiency, cost, and service.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, hours-of-service (HOS), and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch records, logs, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, operations, and internal teams.
  • Support driver onboarding and day-to-day driver support as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in transportation dispatch, driver management, or trucking/logistics operations.
  • Knowledge of dispatch operations, routing, and fleet coordination.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations, HOS, and safety compliance.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in dispatch software or a TMS, and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Korean bilingual (a plus for internal team coordination).
  • Experience with a Korean-affiliated logistics or trucking company.
