Logistics & Dispatch Coordinator

Figure

San Jose, CA • On-site

$120K - $175K/yr

Full-time

Posted 18 days ago

Job description

Figure is an AI robotics company developing autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots. The goal of the company is to ship humanoid robots with human level intelligence. Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is headquartered in San Jose, CA.
We are looking for a Field Logistics & Dispatch Coordinator to manage the movement of robots and other equipment between HQ/warehouse and active data collection and customer sites. This role is the central point of coordination for all field logistics - working closely with the logistics commercial operations, and data operations teams to ensure every project is fully equipped on schedule. This role requires excellent leadership, problem solving, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive and process equipment requests from offsite project teams
  • Schedule, track, and manage delivery and return of robots and equipment between warehouse and active sites, coordinating carriers, couriers, or personal-vehicle runs as needed.
  • Maintain accurate, real-time status of equipment location, quantities, and availability across all active sites.
  • Own the process for preparing, inspecting, and documenting equipment before dispatch and upon return, including condition and damage logging.
  • Maintain internal vehicle fleet and coordinate/lease supplemental transport as required.
  • Serve as the primary logistics point of contact between project teams and the equipment/inventory function, communicating proactively on ETAs, blockers, and status.
  • Help build and maintain SOPs/checklists for kitting, dispatch, delivery, and returns as the program scales.
  • Coordinate the pulling, inspection, and kitting of equipment against request manifests.
  • Support contingency response when things go wrong in the field.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years experience in logistics, dispatch, fleet operations, asset management, or field equipment coordination.
  • Track record of owning physical equipment through a full cycle - dispatch, delivery, recovery, return - not just booking shipping.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail..
  • Excellent communication skills - comfortable coordinating across multiple teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency with tracking systems, spreadsheets, and project management tools (e.g., Google Sheets, Jira, Confluence, inventory systems).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment; comfortable solving problems in real time without waiting for permission.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $120,000 - $175,000 annually.
The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components and benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
