Driver/Warehouse Associate

Looking for a cool job in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic team representing the industry leader in HVAC equipment? The Driver/Warehouse Associate is responsible for the inventory of the warehouse and daily delivery of HVAC freight and materials. The ultimate goal of this role is to procure, process, dispatch, and deliver/transport products to customers and vendors for one of our established wholesale HVAC distributorships.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily loading and unloading of products.
  • Assist with delivering and transporting HVAC freight and materials to customers.
  • Receive, inspect and stock all merchandise.
  • Verify all items received to items ordered for accuracy.
  • Pick and verify orders for customers and prepare orders for shipment as needed.
  • Collect invoices with proper signatures and return to Sales Center Manager.
  • Responsible for daily checklist of truck and forklift maintenance and reporting in/out times with merchandise returns.
  • Appropriate use and maintenance of OF device.
  • Assist with physical inventory and inventory control.
  • Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders and/or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped.
  • Provide excellent customer service to external customers.
  • Ensure grounds and warehouse are kept neat, orderly, and safe for employees and customer traffic.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to one's regular job duties.
  • Wear appropriate PPE.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 24 months of verifiable experience driving a 16' minimum box truck, or stake bed truck.
  • Ability to multi-task and work within daily deadlines.
  • Knowledge of common carrier (LTL) and full truckload logistics.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and provide superior service.
  • A willingness to learn and grow with our Company.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Proven commitment to customer service and a safe work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • CDL Class B license preferred (except when required in certain states)
  • 6 months of warehouse experience including forklift operation.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Knowledge of HVAC and truckload logistics is a plus.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday. This position may require working extra hours on occasion.
