Are you a transportation leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment? Join Benore Logistic Systems as our Director of Transportation and play a key role in leading the continued growth and success of our transportation operations.

As the Director of Transportation, you will provide strategic and hands-on leadership for transportation operations, including dispatch, driver management, equipment utilization, fleet maintenance coordination, logistics planning, scheduling, customer service, and operational performance. This role requires a leader who can balance day-to-day execution with long-term planning, financial discipline, continuous improvement, and associate engagement.

You will work closely with senior leadership, operations teams, customers, and support departments to ensure Benore continues delivering safe, efficient, and reliable transportation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, plan, organize, and direct transportation operations, policies, programs, and procedures across assigned locations.
  • Oversee transportation scheduling, dispatching, driver management, equipment utilization, licensing, communication, and logistics planning functions.
  • Review and analyze operational performance, revenue trends, cost reports, transportation schedules, and key metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct root cause analysis, develop ROI-based recommendations, and present strategic solutions to senior leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce cost, strengthen service, and address performance gaps.
  • Support new business opportunities, existing customer growth, RFQs, rate analysis, contract maintenance, customer service, and inventory-in-motion visibility.
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop transportation operations leaders, administrative staff, driver management personnel, and other assigned associates.
  • Foster a highly engaged team culture built on accountability, communication, teamwork, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, CT-PAT, ISO, company safety standards, and Benore policies and procedures.
  • Represent Benore professionally and positively with customers, associates, drivers, vendors, and the community.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or a directly related field.
  • Proven leadership experience in transportation operations, logistics, dispatch, driver management, fleet operations, or a related operational leadership function.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and mentor large teams across multiple locations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review performance data, cost reports, operational trends, and financial information to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Experience developing action plans, improving operational processes, reducing cost, and driving measurable results.
  • Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, deadlines, and operational needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Experience with transportation management systems such as TMW and/or TMT preferred.
  • Class A CDL preferred.
  • Active driver’s license required. Candidate must be eligible to be insured under applicable company motor vehicle insurance policies.
