The Department of Nutrition Services is looking for a passionate Dietitian to join the team. Under the direction of the Dietetics Assistant Director/Presentation, the Registered Dietitian/Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Coordinator will be responsible for the insurance of food safety and quality; emphasis will be placed on monitoring the modified diets and therapeutic diets. Monitoring temperature and texture consistency of menu items; Directly observe trayline and resolve any food issues while on trayline; interact with patients in meal service and provide daily reports to managers of NS of the events during meal service. Interact with warehouse staff to apprise food inventories for SNF. The SNF Coordinator will also act as a liaison between SNF management and Nutrition Services management and conduct trayline, tray and dining room audits. Prepare reports as instructed by DAD Presentation and/or Production. Act as a point of contact for licensing agencies during SNF surveys, assist with writing of correction plans including providing education & training of SNF foodservice employees. Other duties and special projects related with classification.
Candidate must have good verbal skills, read, and write English at a level required for successful job performance; ability to communicate with Presentation/Production staff and all levels of Program and Administrative staff including control agencies such as Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Licensing and The Joint Commission.
Minimum Qualifications: Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. (Applicants with proof of eligibility to apply for registration will be admitted to the examination but must become registered to be eligible for appointment.)
