The Walt Disney World Resort invites you to be our Guest and explore Bus Mechanic opportunities!
Location:
The event will be held at the WDW Bus Maintenance Shop, located at 2451 Recycle Way, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830. Please be sure to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.
Directions:
Follow Buena Vista Drive to Western Way (the traffic light near Disney's Coronado Springs Resort). Turn right onto Western Way and continue for approximately one mile to the next traffic light at Bear Island Road. Proceed to the white security gate and press the call button to speak with Security. Inform the Security Guard that you are attending a hiring event at the WDW Bus Maintenance Shop.
After passing through the gate, follow the road around the corner. Recycle Way will be the first road on your left. Turn onto Recycle Way and continue to the stop sign. The WDW Bus Maintenance Shop is the first building you will see. Please park in the lot and look for the Hiring Event signage.
Roles may include:
  • Full Time Fleet B Bus/Diesel Mechanic
  • Full Time Area Mechanic Mechanical
Full Time requires full availability for any shift, seven (7) days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities :
Bus Mechanics are responsible for keeping our bus fleet in full repair so that our Guests get where they need to go on time, comfortably, and safely. Our first-class facility has state-of-the-art lifts and equipment, excellent ventilation --even awnings to keep the sun off your back. The mechanics answer non-routine service calls, perform daily fleet inspections, fueling, and minor repairs at the satellite maintenance facility.
Basic Qualifications :
  • 4 years of relative in-field professional experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid FL Driver's license
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices
  • Ability to work from elevated platforms and confined spaces

Fleet B Bus/Diesel Mechanic:
  • A valid Florida CDL Class A or B with passenger endorsement, or a valid Florida CDL Class A or B Permit with Passenger endorsement is required upon hire
  • ASE certification(s) in T4 or H4 Air Brakes and EPA MVAC 609 Air Conditioning certification will be required within 90 days of hire
  • This position is a DOT compliant position
  • The Company will provide the required CDL training

Area Mechanic Mechanical:
  • A valid FL Driver's License is required upon hire
  • A valid Florida CDL Class A or B, with passenger permit will be required within 90 days of hire
  • ASE certification(s) in T4 or H4 Air Brakes and EPA MVAC 609 Air Conditioning certification will be required within 90 days of hire
  • The Company will provide the required CDL training

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Over 4 years experience in transit maintenance repair
  • Experience with Cummins Insite diagnostic
  • Knowledge of Therma King IntelligAire climate control systems
  • Experience with marquee destination sign repair
  • Multiplex Electronic Equipment experience
  • Familiarity with transit GPS tracking
  • Understanding of Wheelchair lift/ramp
