ABC7 KGO-TV is the Bay Area's news leader, delivering breaking news, weather and live video on-air and 24/7 wherever you stream. Producing more than 45 hours of live newscasts every week, ABC7 Eyewitness News is widely recognized for its solution-based journalism and advocacy with legacy franchises Seven on Your Side and I-Team. ABC7 is a respected and valued community resource, KGO-TV is an ABC Owned Television Station serving San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, and the greater Bay Area. KGO-TV/ABC7 News, the ABC Owned Television station in San Francisco, is looking for a dynamic, tech‐savvy lead producer to join our digital management team. The Senior Digital Producer reports to the Executive Producer – Digital Strategy and works closely with them to help shape and execute content strategy across all digital platforms. Candidates must thrive in a fast‐paced, high‐pressure content environment and possess strong editorial instincts, excellent writing skills, and the ability to make quick, smart decisions. Thorough knowledge and experience publishing and promoting content on major social media platforms is also required. Working knowledge of web analytics and social media metrics, and knowledge of the Dalet news system are both helpful for your candidacy. The Senior Digital Producer guides the digital team; oversees the quality of daily digital and social media content; ensures timely reporting of breaking local and national news; engages in real‐time with broadcast producers, digital producers and the assignment desk to coordinate on‐air and digital content coverage; site troubleshooting and overall stewardship of the editorial standards for all ABC7's digital platforms. The role collaborates closely across the ABC Owned Television Stations group and with cross‐functional partners throughout The Walt Disney Company to drive growth, innovation, and operational excellence. Required/Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience advising, training, or leading digital producers Experience in a major‐market newsroom Familiarity with Disney/ABC OTV systems, workflows, and editorial standards Proficiency with Canva, Adobe products Basic Qualifications: Three (3+) years of experience in a digital newsroom environment Proficiency in AP style and strong copy‐editing skills Experience with analytics tools (social, video, web) Familiarity with HTML, SEO principles, CMS and CMX tools (like Sprinklr) Knowledge of basic image and video editing Excellent communication and collaboration skills Required Education: Bachelor's degree Preferred Education: Journalism or Communications degree The hiring range for this position in San Francisco, CA is $95,400 - $127,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job‐related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long‐term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
