Job description

Join us for the Sewing Spotlight Social, an exclusive networking event where talented sewing and garment production professionals can connect with Costuming Leaders and Recruiters at Walt Disney World. Explore career opportunities in specialty costuming roles, including Construction Sewing Specialist, Pattern Maker, and Garment Cutter!
Bring your portfolio, project samples, or photos of your work to showcase your skills, exchange ideas with fellow artisans, and gain insights from industry Leaders. Through garment displays and informal conversations, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the craftsmanship that brings Disney stories to life, and how your skills may align with potential Full-Time or Part-Time opportunities.

Please park on the third floor and then use the walking bridge to the Casting Center
Basic Qualifications :
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial sewing, pattern making, fabric cutting, and garment construction
  • Experience using industrial sewing machines in a professional setting
  • Comfortable working in an area where you may be exposed to performers in multiple stages of dress and undress
  • Experience with garment production, millinery, patternmaking, or alterations
  • Willing to work with costumes and fabrics made of synthetic and natural fibers such as fur, foam, vinyl, latex, and leather
  • Physical role requiring heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, kneeling, and prolonged standing
  • Repetitive grasping, clutching, and grabbing with hands
  • Work at various heights and varying temperatures in a high-lint area
  • All candidates must successfully pass a multi-hour skill-based assessment for the applicable role
