The Walt Disney World Resort isa world-classentertainment and recreation center featuring four theme parks; two water adventure parks; 31 resort hotels (17 owned and operated by Walt Disney World and 14 Disney Vacation Club properties); 63 holes of golf on four golf courses; two full-service spas; ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex; Disney Springs, an entertainment-shopping-dining complex and Disney's Wedding Pavilion.
We are looking for a seasoned hotelier with diverse experience for the role of Regional General Manager, Resort Operations. The leader will report to the Vice President of Resort Operations and be directly responsible for 6-8 hotel properties in the portfolio and will lead a team of executives.


The Regional General Manager provides impactful leadership and support to the hotels, driving guest service standards and satisfaction, Cast Member development and engagement, and ongoing enhancement of service and quality improvements at the hotels. The leader will develop strategies to maximize the commercial potential to increase profits, reduce costs and transform our business to achieveworld-classexperiences to our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to executive leaders and their teams

  • Have oversight for the P&L performance, cost controls, cast member and guest satisfaction

  • Mentor General Managers to ensure successful operation of their hotels; set short-term and long-range goals in tandem with the Executive Team and General Managers to aid and achieve each property's defined performance metrics

  • Proactively focus on anticipating diverse needs of our global consumers and ability to translate these needs into meaningful Guest experiences

  • Conduct regular property visits to ensure brand and standards are being achieved

  • Develop teams focused on improving the Walt Disney World Resort experience and our performance metrics

  • Promote the resort experience through deeper levels of integration and leverage strategic support partnerships to provide an exceptional hotel experience and level of service to our guests

  • Partner with the resorts line of business team - participate in pilots and promote future focused work

  • Embrace change as an opportunity to grow while nurturing skills of change management to help leaders and team through transitions

  • Display commitment, enthusiasm, transparency and sensitivity to the team's needs to ensure Cast Members are empowered, positive and engaged

Basic Qualifications
  • 7-10+ of proven Operational Executive leadership leading other senior leaders

  • Sound business acumen and ability to deliver on key performance indicators, controlling operational costs and driving profitability

  • Atrack record driving change, innovation and service excellence through promoting the overarching strategy

  • Experience delivering operational excellence and leading businesses to financial performance with a proactive focus on anticipating diverse needs of our global consumers and ability to translate these needs into meaningful Guest experiences

  • Been part of transformational work or service brand transformation as a Hotelier

  • The ability to inspire, promote enthusiasm and teamwork

  • Passion and commitment to diversity and inclusion including inviting diverse perspectives, fostering an inclusive work environment and supporting workforce diversity

  • Experience benchmarking internally and externally to achieve best practices

  • Bilingual or multi-lingual preferred

Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related field

Preferred Education
  • MBA or other related Masters degree

The hiring range for this position in Florida is $214,600 to $287,700 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
