Job description

Position Summary
The Blending Operator I is an entry level position that plays a key role in supporting the blending and production of juice products by verifying ingredients, accurately weighing and measuring raw materials, and operating blending equipment according to standard operating procedures. This position is responsible for maintaining detailed batch records, performing equipment cleaning (CIP/COP), and ensuring sanitary conditions throughout the processing area. The Blending Operator collaborates closely with production, quality control, and maintenance teams to meet production schedules and uphold safety and quality standards. This role requires strict adherence to company policies and active participation in promoting a safe and organized work environment.
Key Skills Required
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control.
  • Must be familiar with computers and be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel).
  • Must be able to multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
  • Verify the pulling and staging of all ingredients to be used for blending. Maintain accurate records of batch/ lot code information, including raw material usage.
  • Weigh and measure raw materials accurately, ensuring correct proportions and mixtures. Operate blending equipment safely and efficiently, following standard operating procedures. Perform CIP and COP according to our standard.
  • Work closely with other team members, including shift supervisors and quality control personnel, to achieve production targets and maintain product quality.
  • Regularly sanitize equipment, workstations, and processing areas to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with company standards. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental and company policies and procedures.
  • Promote a safe work environment.
  • Ensure that the production Schedule is followed, and perform cycle counts for wet and dry ingredients.
  • Effectively communicates and collaborates with all departments especially production, Quality Control, and Maintenance departments.
  • All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education/Experience
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Knowledge of food and beverage industry, yields, and production processes
  • Experience with blending/processing preferred
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Forklift experience preferred
