About the Role & Team

Performance Marketing is a cross-functional team within The Walt Disney Studios Marketing organization focused on driving measurable, data-driven outcomes across digital media channels. The team leverages emerging advertising technologies, audience intelligence, analytics, and marketing innovation to maximize campaign effectiveness while protecting and enhancing Disney's world-class brands.

This role sits within the Performance Marketing Strategy & Operations team and partners closely with internal marketing stakeholders, media agencies, and platform partners to develop and execute performance marketing strategies for theatrical and streaming releases. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in digital media activation, audience strategy, optimization, and analytics with a passion for entertainment and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do

As a Performance Marketing Manager, you will help shape and execute performance marketing strategies that drive business results across Disney Entertainment content campaigns. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize media investments, leverage audience insights, and identify opportunities to improve campaign performance across a variety of digital platforms.

You will serve as a key partner to media agencies, platform vendors, analytics teams, and internal marketing stakeholders while helping establish best practices and advancing innovative approaches to performance marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute performance marketing strategies across theatrical and streaming campaigns in partnership with senior leaders and activation teams.
  • Manage audience strategy across first-party, second-party, and third-party data sources to improve campaign effectiveness and audience targeting.
  • Build and implement bidding, pacing, and optimization strategies to maximize media performance and business outcomes.
  • Monitor campaign performance, identify key drivers, and deliver actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Manage and optimize campaigns across leading advertising platforms, including Google Campaign Manager 360, Search Ads 360, Google DV360, The Trade Desk, and other digital media platforms.
  • Partner with platform representatives and agency teams to ensure best practices, successful campaign execution, and ongoing performance improvements.
  • Lead test-and-learn initiatives in collaboration with Marketing Science and Marketing Analytics teams to evaluate new strategies, technologies, and opportunities.
  • Analyze campaign results, testing outcomes, and audience insights to inform future media strategies and improve performance.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing, media, data, and analytics teams to ensure alignment between performance marketing activities and broader business objectives.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with agency partners to ensure accurate implementation and optimization of campaigns.
  • Share knowledge and best practices related to performance marketing processes, advertising technologies, and media platforms across the team.
  • Support additional strategic initiatives and special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in digital advertising, performance marketing, media analytics, or social/programmatic media buying.
  • Strong expertise in performance marketing strategy, campaign management, and media optimization.
  • Experience working with advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), DV360, The Trade Desk, Campaign Manager 360, Search Ads 360, LiveRamp, and other data and activation platforms.
  • Deep understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including audience targeting, ad serving, tracking, and measurement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Passion for entertainment, media, and The Walt Disney Studios brands.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using SQL
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Experience using project and workflow management tools such as AirTable
  • Experience collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Experience supporting performance marketing campaigns for entertainment, media, direct-to-consumer, or consumer-facing brands
  • Familiarity with audience management platforms, customer data platforms (CDPs), and marketing technology solutions
  • Experience working with media agencies and external activation partners
  • Exposure to marketing experimentation, incrementality testing, or advanced measurement methodologies

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Advertising, Analytics, Business, Communications, or a related field.

Additional Information

  • This role sits in the Burbank, CA or Celebration, FL office 4 days a week from Monday through Thursday with flexibility to work from home on Fridays.
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $129,300.00 - $173,300.00 per year and in Florida is $123,100.00 - 165,100.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
