Westover Baptist Church (https://westoverministries.org) is searching for a full-time Associate Pastor of Family and Children's Ministries.
Requirements
Position Overview
This pastor will be a key member of the pastoral team leading outreach to families in our community and Christian school, oversee our family discipleship ministry, and lead our children's ministry (birth-6th grade).
The ideal candidate possesses a shepherd's heart, a passion for reaching new families and a zeal to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
Qualifications
โ€ข Meet the qualifications of a pastor/elder according to 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, and 1 Peter 5
โ€ข A man who is humble, teachable, and deeply committed to God's Word and prayer
โ€ข Holds a high view of God, the sufficiency of Scripture, the local church and the sovereign grace of God
โ€ข In full agreement with the statement of faith and philosophy of ministry of Westover Baptist Church
โ€ข Able to preach and teach with clarity and conviction
โ€ข Proven leadership and organizational skills

Family and Discipleship Ministry
โ€ข Develop and implement outreach to families in the community and Christian school
โ€ข Work with the lead pastor to strengthen the church's discipleship ministries
โ€ข Develop and oversee the church's small group ministry
โ€ข Work with the pastoral team to train future leaders and equip the saints for ministry
Children's Ministry
โ€ข Organize and oversee our children's ministry (birth - 6th grade)โ€ข Encourage and equip parents to fulfill their primary role in discipling their children
โ€ข Provide pastoral care, guidance and prayer to families as needed
โ€ข Maintain consistent communication with parents, volunteers, and church leadership
