Contractors may supply food, shelter, medical services, debris removal, and other critical support. The goal is to streamline emergency response efforts and minimize downtime or disruption for affected communities.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory/Entra ID, enterprise backup and recovery, Microsoft 365, and PowerShell. This is not primarily a desktop support or M365 administration role; candidates should demonstrate meaningful experience supporting enterprise infrastructure and participating in systems integration, migrations, change management, disaster recovery, and technology modernization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESEnterprise Systems & Infrastructure
  • Administer, monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and migrate Windows Server and virtualized environments, including VMware and Hyper-V.

  • Support Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, file services, authentication, certificates, storage, patching, monitoring, and system lifecycle management.

  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across servers, applications, endpoints, networking, and identity services.

  • Maintain infrastructure documentation, inventories, diagrams, and operational procedures.

Backup, Recovery & Disaster Recovery
  • Monitor enterprise backup jobs, capacity, retention, alerts, and failures.

  • Perform and support system and data restores.

  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, documentation, and recovery exercises.

Identity, Microsoft 365 & Endpoints
  • Support Active Directory and Entra ID, including users, groups, permissions, MFA, synchronization, and account lifecycle activities.

  • Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 services including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, licensing, permissions, and synchronization.

  • Provide escalation-level support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, peripherals, and business applications.

  • Support endpoint management, patching, compliance, encryption, and software deployment using tools such as Intune and Configuration Manager.

PowerShell, Security & Automation
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.

  • Support vulnerability remediation, patch management, endpoint protection, encryption, access reviews, and secure configurations.

  • Identify opportunities for automation, infrastructure improvements, and technology modernization.

Projects & Systems Integration
  • Participate in infrastructure projects including server upgrades, virtualization, migrations, systems implementations, cybersecurity initiatives, and technology refreshes.

  • Support systems integration, testing, implementation, and lifecycle activities.

  • Follow structured change management processes and assist with planning, testing, implementation, and post-change validation.

  • Work with Corporate IT, cybersecurity, application owners, manufacturing/operations teams, vendors, and service providers.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of enterprise IT, systems administration, infrastructure support, or IT operations experience preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server and enterprise infrastructure.

  • Experience with VMware or other enterprise virtualization platforms.

  • Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.

  • Experience supporting enterprise backup, recovery, and disaster recovery.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and PowerShell.

  • Strong understanding of networking, authentication, patching, monitoring, cybersecurity, and infrastructure operations.

  • Experience participating in IT projects, migrations, integrations, infrastructure upgrades, or modernization initiatives.

  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

  • 7+ years of enterprise systems administration or infrastructure experience.

  • Experience supporting multi-site environments, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, laboratory, or distribution.

  • Experience with disaster recovery, structured change management, and IT service management.

  • Relevant Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, VMware, or ITIL certifications.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate is an enterprise infrastructure professional who can take ownership of server, virtualization, identity, backup/recovery, and systems operations while providing escalation-level end-user support.
