Moffitt Site Services is a Houston-based emergency services company that is committed to providing clean water, portable restrooms, hazardous cleanup, and so much more to businesses, organizations, government entities, and all the people affected by natural disasters and emergency situations. We’ve been a major contributor to the relief efforts during the major disasters and storms throughout the Greater Houston Area and gulf coast up to the Midwest. Moffitt Site Services has built its reputation on providing exceptional timely service backed by unparalleled experience in disaster relief. Roll-off containers, sanitation services, potable water, and emergency cleanup are some of the assistances we provide, but service is our business.
Moffitt Site Services is looking to expand our team. We are currently hiring a Water/Vacuum Truck Driver, with preferred Roll Off experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safely operate and various types of vacuum trucks, including but not limited to, hydro vac, combo-jetter, liquid vac and tankers
  • Use the pump to vacuum sludge or liquid materials in the truck tank
  • Ensure the suction system is functioning properly
  • Complies with all safety procedures at disposal and processing sites
  • Prepares, receives, and provides appropriate documentation for water deliveries, work orders and manifest.
  • Complies with all safety procedures at water loading sites
  • Drive to customer location for pump outs and or water delivery while ensuring safety
  • Maintains communications with dispatch and supervisor to receive instructions or notice of changes concerning jobs and pump outs and water deliveries.
  • Identify or communicate any scheduled services not provided for any reason
  • Operate a company owned commercial vacuum/water truck to service Industrial, Commercial amp; Construction customers needing vacuum services on assigned routes that typically change daily in different service areas
  • Dump contents at designated facility
  • Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record
  • Good communication skills to interact with dispatch, clients and team members
  • Operating and reliable cell phone (Dispatch and GPS coordinates)
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be comfortable working outside year-round in all types of weather
  • Exposure to varying levels of physical activities. (Standing, crouching, walking, crawling, etc.)
  • Positive, hard-working attitude
  • Continuous learning and adaptability are key
  • Maintain a clean vehicle and presentable appearance when communicating with customers
  • Ensure the suction/pumping system is functioning properly
  • Maintain accurate records (driver paperwork, daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch, trip reports and vehicle inspection reports and other relevant information)
  • Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and traffic laws
  • Follows all of the FMSCA/DOT guidelines
  • Perform Daily Pre/Post Trip DOT Inspections on vehicles
  • Complies with all mandatory safety meetings amp; briefings, operational standards amp; policies, and maintains a valid Texas CDL and DOT medical card
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the truck
  • Reports all safety and service incidents to the Supervisor immediately
Experience
  • 1 year vacuum truck experience – required
  • 1 year water truck experience – preferred
  • Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat - required
  • Minimum 5 years of CDL driving experience w/ 3 years of tanker experience
Education
  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Relocation
  • This position is not eligible for relocation.
Travel Requirements
  • Be available to work out of town for natural disasters
Work Schedule/Benefits
Able to work a rotating schedule (Typically 5/2) plus overtime - May have to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
