YOUTH LEADSANDALS CHURCH
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Role Purpose

The Youth Lead role exists to cast vision, lead culture, and build a healthy volunteer team of adults and students who create environments where students become real with themselves, God, and others as they grow closer to Jesus. This role focuses on discipling students, developing leaders, and empowering students to disciple others.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Vision & Culture
  • Cast compelling vision for Sandals Youth that reflects the church's mission and values.
  • Shape and protect a culture of authenticity, discipleship, passion, and fun.
  • Lead with clarity and consistency so students and leaders know where the ministry is going.
Lead & Develop Your Real Team
  • Identify, recruit, onboard, and train volunteers to lead confidently.
  • Structure their team with different levels of leaders to care and lead their ministry.
  • Build student leaders who live on mission and lead their peers to Jesus.
  • Create a culture where your team feels supported, encouraged, and spiritually equipped.
Execute the Midweek Youth Experience
  • Lead your team to create a welcoming, fun, and discipleship-focused experience.
  • Ensure new students are welcomed, followed up with, and placed in the right groups.
  • Prioritize groups where students learn the Bible, ask honest questions, and grow spiritually.

Preaching & Teaching
  • Serve as the primary communicator for your midweek Youth service.
  • Teach the Bible with clarity, energy, and cultural relevance.
  • Model strong biblical teaching for leaders and train them to communicate effectively in groups.
Discipleship Pathways
  • Champion the discipleship process at your campus.
  • Equip students to read scripture, pray, share their faith, and disciple others.
  • Ensure leaders are trained to guide groups through meaningful biblical conversations.
Serve Alongside Campus Staff on Weekends
  • Help students engage on weekends, serve, and build community.
  • Recruit students to serve in other ministries and develop as leaders.
  • Support parents by engaging with them, praying with them, and helping them disciple their students.
Admin, Systems, & Communication
  • Manage communication with leaders, parents, and students through email, text, and social platforms.
  • Oversee scheduling, service planning, and weekly team assignments.
  • Track attendance, follow-up, and next steps for students.

Compensation
Pay Range: $20-$25 per hour
