In this role, you'll play a key part in bringing live news coverage to air by cutting and editing video and selecting soundbites for air. You will work closely with producers, writers, and editors in a fast-paced control room environment where speed, accuracy, and attention to detail are critical. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Cut and edit video, soundbites, and other visual elements for live broadcasts
Collaborate with line producers and writers to identify the strongest elements
Edit and turn around breaking news video quickly
Work closely with editors to ensure all elements are organized and delivered on deadline
Perform thorough quality control on every video element before it airs
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience
Experience in television news or live production
Experience with non-linear editing software
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven newsroom
Strong communication and teamwork skills
