Expected Hours and Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, partial year position (approx. 43 weeks)
Job Overview: We are a fast-paced and high-demand non-profit program that depends on everybody in every position to help our centers function with ease. You will gain diverse experience working with an at-risk population. Cross-training is available and expected for all positions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Assist teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment for children and staff
  • Implement active supervision strategies
  • Assist children with individual education plans
  • Assist in lesson planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and assessment for the classroom

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Working towards CDA to be completed within two years of hire (required)
  • Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
  • Experience working with young children (required)
  • 2+ Years of experience in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
  • Experience working with at-risk population and/or Head Start experience (preferred)

The successful candidate will be: compassionate, organized, flexible, a good communicator, a team player
Physical abilities: Must be able to lift 30 pounds independently without assistance
