Overview

The Advisory Analyst plays a critical role in analyzing complex eCommerce and digital shelf signals to develop clear narratives and action plans that improve our customers' performance. This role works directly with Profitero+ clients to scope projects, build analyses in Excel, PowerPoint, and Sigma, and present recommendations that improve eCommerce performance.

This role sits within our Advisory organization. The Advisory Analyst will primarily support Digital Shelf business reports and custom analyses, with exposure to analytic tool development & deployment and consulting team support.

The role is based in Boston, MA and is a hybrid role with three days a week in office.

Who you are:

  • Experience: A bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of increasing responsibility in a data-intensive consulting, market research, eCommerce, retail, CPG/manufacturing, or similar role
  • Analytical & Presentation Skills: Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to interpret and present data effectively
  • Storytelling Ability: Ability to transform complex data into clear narratives, providing actionable insights and recommendations
  • Communication: Confidently articulate complex topics in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing
  • Detail-oriented: Exceptional focus on accuracy and precision in analyses and reports
  • Organizational Skills: Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and handle multiple stakeholders effectively
  • Industry Knowledge: Awareness of macroeconomic trends and industry challenges that impact our clients

What you'll do:

  • Deliver Insights: Share findings through various formats, including presentations, workshops, training sessions, and ongoing data solutions, making data accessible and actionable
  • Analyze Data: Delve into Profitero's Amazon Sales & Share data and Digital Shelf metrics across multiple retailers, uncovering key opportunities for category growth and performance optimization
  • Client Support: Contribute to delivering insights projects for a diverse portfolio of local and global clients, ensuring they achieve sales and performance goals across eCommerce platforms
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Customer Success and technical teams to ensure data accuracy and impactful outcomes
  • Independent Work Management: Balance and prioritize client deliverables and internal responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Clear Communication Channels: Keep internal and external stakeholders aligned through transparent and consistent communication

It would be nice if you:

  • Have prior eCommerce, CPG/retail, and/or consulting experience
  • Have hands-on experience with Analytics tools (e.g., Sigma, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python)
  • Understand digital shelf KPIs and best practices

Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met.
