Job Description

In this role you will be a hands on Project Manager for the Enterprise project management team. You'll work with a cross functional team to ensure that projects are within scope, within budget and tracking to be delivered on time. You will help provide transparency into projects and the work being done by the project teams and business partners. In short, you will be the key "go-to" person for the project team and will play an integral part in helping us deliver amazing products.

What you'll do:

  • Manage and report on schedules, project scope, assets, and overall project organization to ensure requirements and project delivery dates are clearly communicated, understood and executed upon
  • Take point on key projects and issues and drive them to resolution
  • Manage and become a respected leader of a cross-functional team in a highly matrixed organization
  • Actively monitor project risks and scope creep to foresee/identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address them in advance
  • Consistently and proactively identify needs that others may not recognize and ensure approaches and solutions are linked to key objectives and future needs
  • Communicate and document project status and strategic recommendations to team members and senior management on a regular basis; escalate issues accordingly via the appropriate channels
  • Conduct project pre and post mortems and proactively identify opportunities for improvement to all process and tools used in the execution of project activities
  • Clarify and communicate project objectives and success criteria to stakeholders and team members while providing motivation, direction, and overall feedback to teams
Qualifications

Required: 

  • SAP (Finance Module, FICO etc.)
  • Oracle Hyperion Financial Management a plus
  • Initiatives: 10-12 small to medium size projects
  • Take over any finance related projects and some bandwidth to assist to retire SAP (FICO) - As AT&T is on Oracle HFM (Hyperion Financial Management)
  • Required: Major ERP - finance modules: Oracle, SAP, etc

Personality: 

Does well with the business stakeholders (accounting group)

Day to Day: 

  • Managing stakeholder expectations and scope. 
  • Budget is important and a responsibility, but they have access to a financial analyst to work off of.
  • Must be detail oriented, strong SDLC knowledge, highly dependent on MS project, and experienced in large matrix organizations.

Enterprise Profile 

  • Working with 15- 50 people at once
  • Stakeholders: Finance, Dev teams, Architects, QA, BA, etc.
  • Needs to know Critical Path, risks vs. Issues, basic methodology
  • Large Matrixed Environments
  • Worked with Custom Applications (Does not want deploying out of the box solutions)
