Job Opportunity: Medical Director / Assistant Medical Director of Blood Bank and Transfusion Medicine

Our organization is on the lookout for skilled, Board-Certified MD or DO Physicians to fill the essential roles of Medical Director or Assistant Medical Director for Blood Bank and Transfusion Medicine in our Central region.

This is a remarkable chance for proactive leaders to enhance clinical excellence and provide strong departmental management within a premier Transfusion Medicine/Blood Bank service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee clinical operations and ensure high standards of care in Blood Banking and Transfusion Medicine.
  • Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Implement best practices and innovative approaches to improve service delivery.
  • Engage in research and educational initiatives to advance the field.
Qualifications:
  • Certification or eligibility from the American Board of Pathology (ABP) in Clinical Pathology.
  • Completion of an accredited fellowship in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine, with ABP certification or eligibility in this specialty.
  • A valid and unrestricted Medical License in New York State.
