Preferred major markets include:
Minneapolis, Kansas City, St. Louis, Chicago, Milwaukee, Detroit, Indianapolis, Cleveland, and Cincinnati.

Scope of Position:

Pre-sales support of Airspan Networks cellular RAN and DAS products for all Carrier, Enterprise, and Private Network opportunities. Support includes customer meetings, opportunity development, DAS and RAN system design support, proposal activities, product education opportunities (tradeshows, customer and partner training), and engagement with internal product management/development and marketing teams.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
  • Contribute as the Subject Matter Expert on Airspan RAN and DAS equipment and complementary solutions and architectures for Airspan sales team, customers, VARs/Partners, and distributors.
  • Partner with Airspan Sales Managers, RF Design Engineering, and Product Management teams in pre-sales engagements, opportunity qualification, and proposal activity.
  • Assist Customers and Partners in product, technology, and design related questions during the pre-sales phase of projects.
  • Provide educational seminars to Customers and Partners with focus on Airspan equipment configurations, recommended practices, and relevant tools/resources.
  • Engage Product Development to define customer requirements and feature requests relative to current and future product portfolio.
  • Support use case analysis/comparison of new/existing/competitive products to determine proper positioning within market.
  • Travel Requirements: 50% in support Customer meetings and presentations
Desired Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor of Science, Engineering or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in wireless telecommunications field with experience as Product Manager, RF Engineer, Sales Engineer or related positions
  • Thorough understanding of various RF concepts and tools (e.g. iBwave design, Link Budgets, RF planning, SINR, etc.) and wireless technologies (e.g. LTE, 5G NR, CBRS, Private Networks, mmWave, 802.11, etc.)
  • Experience with RAN, LAN, WAN, IP, IPSec, Switching, Routing and other IP-based solutions related to business applications
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Experience in direct sales to all levels of an organization up to CxO level engagements
  • Ability to work within an opportunity-centric team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with partners and customers to provide continued support and drive future sales
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
