Description
The Welder - Overhead position will:
Perform a variety of duties associated with welding machine parts. Also required to perform other tasks, as assigned by his or her supervisor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Obtain supplies, position work and follow verbal or written instructions
2. Demonstrated ability to set-up, operate and maintain electrodes on an overhead welder
3. Review quality of parts produced and note deviation from approved part
4. Report deviation of parts produced to Supervisor
5. Operate spot welders, grinders, sanders and other equipment used on the cabinet line
6. Required to wear PPE
7. Complete tasks as directed with minimum supervision
8. Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards
9. Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
  1. Reports problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to supervisor
  2. Perform other duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of this position
  3. Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities
  4. Desire to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethic
  5. Follow all company rules and policies

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
1. Adequate communication skills; verbal and written
2. Ability to read and understand written instructions
