Job description

Job Summary:
Mastercard is a global technology company focused on connecting and powering an inclusive digital economy. The Director of Product Management will be responsible for leading the product development and strategy for new solutions aimed at improving transaction authorization performance and increasing conversion rates for partners.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the end-to-end Product Development lifecycle for our new authorization improvement products, including gathering insights, outlining strategy, proposing new product functionalities, developing KPIs, defining customer experience/journey, and working in partnership with the Technology teams to deliver roadmap capabilities
• Translate product strategy into a roadmap containing well-defined and prioritized business requirements and features that will realize the product vision to assist the client in achieving a long-term competitive advantage
• Engage in idea generation, concept validation, business case development, and financial modeling and planning
• Continually monitor the market landscape to get a view of competitive solutions and opportunities, as well as provide thought-leadership and market insights to support customers and guide product development decisions
• Leverage data, analytics and market insights to come up with recommendations that will drive penetration, adoption, business decisions and development of new and existing strategic solutions, all in the effort to improve authorization performance
• Ability to work in a matrix organization and influence various teams at the global and local level; key stakeholders include Engineering, Finance, Market Development, Account Management, Customer Experience, Marketing, and other product teams
Qualifications:
Required:
• Understanding of the ecosystem of payment processing, authorization and acquiring services, with specific experience working at or with the acceptance community
• Able to take technical knowledge and translate it to business stakeholders
• Comfortable communicating and collaborating with business stakeholders, engineering and analytics teams at all levels
• Passion for all things digital and intrinsic curiosity to understand new technology
• Entrepreneurial spirit and global mindset with a passion for learning and using data to solve large scale business problems
• Foundational background in product development and management
• The ability to craft clear and detailed deliverables and expertly communicate across audiences
• Excellent project management and execution skills, with experience demonstrated in web/software/product development
