Business Intelligence Architect Position Summary
While under the direction of the Director of Business Intelligence and Clinical Analytics, the BI Architect will be responsible for providing analytical infrastructure and guidance for data techniques and processes related to the BICA department. As a senior member of the team, this position is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of the department’s electronic data repositories as well as support for the technical development of complex business intelligence solutions that transform data into meaningful and useful information for business purposes. The BI Architect must exhibit a high level of initiative, accuracy, and self-direction and is seen as a resource that can support all roles within the department.
Business Intelligence Architect Position Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, information sciences, mathematics, or statistics required.
- Master’s Degree in healthcare administration, business or data analytics required or similar work experience.
Required License and/or Certification
- This position requires attainment/maintenance of EPIC certification/proficiency.
Experience
- At least 7 years of experience in data aggregation, data analysis, and data interpretation techniques required.
- Prior experience with business intelligence tools, statistical knowledge and application, and technical data manipulation techniques required.
- Foundational understanding of relational data models, database structure systems and data mining techniques required.
- Familiarity and advanced working knowledge of commercial data warehouse platforms including EPIC’s caboodle data warehouse and industry data visualization products (i.e., McKesson Explorer, Tableau, Clique).
Business Intelligence Architect Work Schedule
- Exempt position, primarily day shift Monday-Friday. Evening and weekend work as needed.
