SENS is seeking a Product Director to provide strategic and commercial leadership for major products, platforms, and market segments within our portfolio. This role will define product strategy, guide investment priorities, and lead cross-functional execution from market opportunity identification through commercialization, market penetration, growth, and lifecycle management.

A critical focus of this role will be identifying and shaping new and adjacent markets while developing authoritative application, customer and competitive insight. The Product Director will engage directly with customers, prospects, industry experts, partners, and other market participants to understand application requirements, system architectures, customer pain points, buying criteria, competitive solutions, and emerging trends. This role synthesizes these insights into product strategies, market-entry plans, and differentiated solutions that enable SENS to enter, penetrate, and grow within new markets.

The role will have a primary focus on data centers and hyperscale customers while identifying and developing opportunities across telecommunications, utility infrastructure, renewable energy, industrial, and other adjacent markets. The ideal candidate combines deep technical understanding, strong commercial judgment, and the stature to influence enterprise decisions from the C-suite through Directors and functional teams. This role operates with broad autonomy, aligns leaders with competing priorities, and converts ambiguity into clear company-wide product direction and measurable business results.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and evaluate new markets, applications, and customer segments and personally lead the evaluation of the highest-impact growth opportunities for SENS.
  • Develop deep application-level knowledge within targeted markets, including customer workflows, system architectures, technical requirements, pain points, purchasing processes, competitive alternatives, and future needs.
  • Lead customer and market discovery through direct engagement, field visits, industry events, expert interviews, channel relationships, and competitive research.
  • Assess market attractiveness, growth potential, competitive dynamics, barriers to entry, and SENS's ability to win.
  • Develop market-entry, penetration, and growth strategies for prioritized opportunities.
  • Identify portfolio gaps, technology investments, product extensions, partnerships, and capabilities required to address new markets.
  • Own the strategy and lifecycle performance of major product platforms, portfolios, or strategic market segments.
  • Establish differentiated product visions and multi-year roadmaps aligned with company growth priorities.
  • Recommend product investment, continuation, repositioning, partnership, and end-of-life decisions.
  • Present market opportunities, product strategies, investment priorities, and performance recommendations to senior and executive leadership.
Strategic Customer & Market Leadership
  • Build strong relationships with key accounts, prospects, executive stakeholders, channel partners, and industry participants.
  • Translate customer and market intelligence into product requirements, differentiated value propositions, and commercialization strategies.
  • Become a subject-matter expert on the applications and customer needs within targeted new markets.
  • Evaluate competitive offerings, emerging technologies, regulatory developments, and changes in market structure.
  • Represent SENS in strategic customer discussions, industry forums, and selected partnership evaluations.
  • Partner with Sales and Business Development to convert market insights into target accounts, opportunities, and revenue growth.
  • Establish product priorities and guide requirements for complex hardware, software, and systems-level solutions across multiple products and programs.
  • Partner with Engineering leadership to evaluate technical alternatives, investment requirements, development risks, and schedule trade-offs.
  • Provide product leadership during architecture reviews, design reviews, validation, certification, and launch readiness.
  • Ensure product development decisions remain aligned with validated customer applications, market opportunity, competitive positioning, and financial objectives.
  • Resolve cross-functional issues affecting product scope, customer commitments, commercial viability, or market timing.
  • Own product positioning, market segmentation, value propositions, and commercialization strategy.
  • Develop strategies to move customers from market awareness and qualification through initial adoption, broader deployment, and sustained growth.
  • Lead cross-functional launch planning across sales, marketing, engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, and customer support.
  • Develop sales enablement strategies and provide advanced product and application training to customer-facing teams.
  • Support strategic account plans, major proposals, commercial negotiations, and complex customer opportunities.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop market-specific campaigns, technical content, thought leadership, and demand-generation priorities.
  • Monitor adoption and penetration within new markets and adjust strategy to overcome barriers and accelerate growth.
  • Develop and own business cases, revenue plans, market forecasts, investment requirements, cost models, and margin objectives.
  • Establish pricing strategies and commercial frameworks for assigned products and markets.
  • Evaluate strategic deals, customer-specific requirements, and nonstandard commercial opportunities.
  • Track revenue, margin, market adoption, penetration, quality, forecast accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Initiate corrective actions when product or market performance falls below expectations.
