Job description

Director Quality Management

McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center is your community medical provider, serving the Willamette Valley and its residents with inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, medical, surgical and emergency care. Job Summary:

  • The Director of Quality Management is responsible for planning, administration and monitoring of consistent readiness of all quality management, regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes.
  • The Director will oversee and coordinate all hospital effort to monitor and maintain compliance with all regulatory, state, federal government and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization Standards.
  • The position reports directly to the Chief Nursing Office.

Education/Licensing:

  • RN license required.
  • Bachelor's degree required, Masters Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Process improvement training preferred.
  • Current BLS.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years in an acute care facility.
  • Demonstrates a clear working knowledge of general hospital operations, TJC, OSHA, Medicare COP and state requirements.
  • Minimum of two years experience in Quality Management preferred.
  • Must have coordinated TJC preparation and participated in State and CMS surveys within the past three years.
  • Highly organized; efficient and effective use of time and resources.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to facilitate teams, work with individuals having diverse needs/interests.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple work demands in fast paced environment.
  • Ability to delegate appropriately.
  • Ability to research and obtain needed information on broad range of topics.
  • Advanced knowledge of performance improvement and risk management techniques, tools and principles.
  • Advanced understanding/application of statistical methodologies. Ability to establish short- and long-term departmental goals in alignment with organizations strategic plan.
  • Ability to act decisively and appropriately when the situation requires.
