Position Summary:
Christ Central is seeking a Youth Director to lead Christ Centralโs rapidly growing Youth Ministry of 60+ current youth students (6th to 12th grade). He/she will be accountable to the Session, and supported by key staff (including pastors and administrative/operational staff) and eight volunteers. This position will be offered market pay based on the candidateโs experience and education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pastoral
- Shepherd and direct Youth Ministry Sundays and midweek meetings
- Plan and preach biblical accurate, culturally relevant messages for youth students
- Administrative
- Create and manage a youth ministry calendar to drive all teaching and activities
- Set and manage the annual youth group ministry budget
- Students
- Coordinate logistics for youth events (budget, teams, transportation, waivers, etc.)
- Organize annual events (camp retreats, mission trips, etc.)
- Develop and relationally disciple a group of student leaders
- Parents
- Maintain consistent, proactive communication with youth parents
- Provide resources to equip parents as primary nurturers of their studentโs faith
- Manage Youth Ministry Instagram
- Plan periodic PTA meetings to meet the needs and expectations of families
- Volunteers
- Recruit, train, and supervise qualified youth volunteers to guide youth toward spiritual and developmental maturity
- Review, implement, and follow all church and ministry policies and procedures
- Attend staff meetings, retreats, and other meetings/events as requested

- Compassion - Calling and Gifting
- Graduate of or currently enrolled in an accredited seminary institution or college
- Excellence and experience in caring for youth and parents consistent with the gospel
- Ability to proactively plan and strategically administer youth programs
- Knowledge of Christ-centered, age-appropriate Christian education
- Supervisory experience a plus
- Completed background check, Live Scan, and CPR certified (church will provide resources for applicant to complete)
- Community - Relational Compatibility
- Committed and compatible with the ministry of Christ Central
- Builds genuine relationships and rapport with Christ Central Staff, Session and families
- A sense of Godโs calling to local area and Christ Central in particular
