We are searching for individuals who are excited to help make a difference in the lives of others and would like to start working immediately!
Starting pay for drivers is $22.00 an hour- To receive this rate you must drive and have your own personal vehicle with auto insurance and be willing to transport clients in that vehicle.
Starting pay for non drivers in $20.00 an hour.
Our Direct Care staff work one-on-one with clients in client homes, helping to provide care and assistance with client identified goals; light housekeeping and cooking; companionship and community inclusion; med administration and hygiene assistance; errands, attending appointments, and more!

Come make a difference in the lives of other people and get paid doing it! We are looking for Direct Care Staff in our Supported Living Program. This is not an office cubicle job! You are out in the field working with our clients in their homes. We give you the training and tools you need to get the job done. No prior experience needed, just a willingness to assist others, the ability to understand and follow tasks as directed, time-management, excellent listening skills and strong professional boundaries.
Of course, there are a few things you do need to have before we can hire you like a High School Diploma or GED, a valid drivers license, a working car and proof of insurance, you must be 18 years or older, you must be able to pass a criminal background check per State of Oregon standards and you must pass a pre-employment drug screen (for illegal drugs in the State of Oregon). If you have all these things you are golden and should apply immediately!

FT (37-40 hours) - $22.00 per hour(for drivers)
FT (37- 40 hours)- $20.00 per hour (non drivers)
Flexible Schedules
All your mileage is reimbursed at $.43 per mile.
FT employees (30 + hours for Health Insurance only) will also receive: 100% company paid medical, dental, vision and alternative care through Kaiser Permanente (following 60 days of employment) plus a 20% discount if you want to insure your spouse or kids or family.
FT receive up to 8 hours of PTO per month after 6 months.
After you have been with us a year you will be eligible to enroll in our 401K with a 6% match and our Flexible Spending Account.

Westside Community Focus Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching independent living skills, as well as providing housing, advocacy and other services that primarily assist adults who have developmental disabilities. We strive to promote the confidence and capability of our clients, encouraging the acquisition and maintenance of valuable life skills necessary to live successfully and productively in the community. We have a large Independent Living Program and three Group Homes.
Our Direct Care staff work one-on-one with clients in client homes, helping to provide care and assistance with client identified goals; light housekeeping and cooking; companionship and community inclusion; med administration and hygiene assistance; errands, attending appointments, and more!
Requirements Essential Functions of the Direct Care job include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
*1.Travel to client homes and sites, reporting on time to scheduled work shifts and trainings.
*2.Assist client with identified needs and goals as directed by the clients Residential coordinator and or Supervisor.
*3.Supervise client in matter concerning their health and safety. Report all safety concerns.
*4.Maintain timely and accurate documentation.
*5.Monitor and document medication administration
*.6.Conduct formal and informal training with residents to help them acquire living skills that can lead to increased independence.
*7.Submit written Incident Reports to Residential Coordinators (RC) of any accidents, injuries or serious problems involving the residents (by the end of your shift). Report any suspected abuse per the abuse reporting procedures as a mandatory reporter
*8.Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings.
*9.Monitor the appearance of client and offer assistance in personal hygiene issues. Document in the Direct Care log or on tracking sheet any specific areas of concern regarding hygiene issues.
*10.Encourage and assist client in the use of their leisure and recreational time.
*11.Encourage client to keep his/her home orderly and sanitary. Communicate any routine or emergency home maintenance needing to be performed to the Residential Coordinator Encourage and assist client with notifying the landlord of maintenance issues.
*12.Help client protect his/her personal property and learn to care for personal property.
*13.Record significant occurrences or information that should be shared with other staff in the Direct Care log or on tracking sheets.
*14.Help client maintain his/her personal schedule.
*15.Model and encourage appropriate socialization skills.
*16.Follow direction, maintain accurate documents, interact in a positive manner and maintain professional boundaries with clients, co-workers, community members and personnel from other agencies and adhere to company policies and procedures
*17.Other duties as assigned.
