Job description

Overall Job Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring the technologies, systems, and architecture developed and implemented are consistent across Tractor Supply Company and are in line with enterprise technology standards and best practices.  Using knowledge of architecture and design solutions, the Director and their Team will work with domain experts to ensure individual technology area visions for current and emerging technologies align with the overall long-term roadmap and technology vision.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
  • Oversees domain technology roadmapping to align with enterprise goals, business plans and business processes for systems company wide.
  • Governs the introduction of new technologies.  Reviews, aligns and drives technology plans with enterprise goals, business plans, and business processes. 
  • Create and implements an IT infrastructure and cloud strategy designed to meet the current and future needs of the organization; integrates innovative solutions to control costs and provide a strategic advantage for the organization
  • Builds and maintains relationships with other IT leaders to develop a clear understanding of business needs; ensures cost-effective delivery of IT technology and services to meet those needs and responds with agility to changing business priorities
  • Responsible for defining and managing enterprise standards for compute, networking, information security, telecommunications, end user computing, retail engineering, and IT operations.
  • Ensures IT security and compliance requirements are embedded in IT architecture standards
  • Maintains currency on new architecture, technologies, and service management practices and provides direction on emerging IT technologies
  • Provides leadership, coaching and direction to the IT infrastructure and architecture teams
  • Provides oversight for IT infrastructure and architecture initiatives through creative, cost-effective technology solutions that support and meet the business objectives of the organization
     
Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 10+ years of architecture experience across a minimum of two disciplines including public cloud, compute, networking, information security, telecommunications, retail engineering, or storage.
  • 15+ years of total Information Technology experience
  • Retail experience is strongly preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.  Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Professional Certifications

  • Open Group Certified Architect (Open CA), ITIL, CISSIP-ISSAP, TOGAF, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert are preferred but not required.
