Job description

Director of Technology Commercialization
JOB SUMMARY
This position is broadly responsible for the sales, businessdevelopment, growth and commercial success of gas and equipment sales that aremade in conjunction with Application Engineering Solutions. Through theiremployees and through active engagement and sales calls with end users, thisrole is responsible for generating new application equipment and gas businessthrough development and sale of engineered solutions addressing customers'needs to prospective and strategic customers.
Essential Functions
Managing several positions with sales functions
Working closely with Bulk and Packaged Gas sales organizations, and independently to identify and target prospective customers with gas application technology
Developing and maintaining solutions based relationships with customers
Leading a technical sales team thorough understanding of customer's process requirements through developing technical approaches internally or sourcing technology and equipment from external partners, making or leading the team to make customer presentations, working with the team to develop comprehensive technical proposals, working with multi-functional teams to negotiate commercial terms, setting up and conducting on-site demonstrations and trials, and implementing final solution at the customer.
Developing application training material and conducting sales organization training, compiling and disseminating information on competitor products and activities and technology/market trends.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor's Degree required,Mechanical, Chemical or other Engineering preferred.
Masters Degree - MBA orEngineering Management preferred.
Work Experience
10+ years Experience in theindustrial gases industry preferred, sales, engineering or a combinationrequired.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• The individual must be an experiencedsales manager
• Excellent technical writing, andcommunication skills
• Strong knowledge of gas industry andcustomers
