We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join our S&S Materials Management and Transportation team in Auburn, Washington, Puyallup, Washington.

The successful candidate is a self‑motivated, driven person who can manage and integrate employees’ activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation, specifically in the delivery customer service role. The manager will develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals. They will acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of team members, lead process improvements, maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports, and give oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

Position Responsibilities
  • Manages employees analyzing supply chain material requirements, developing and optimizing inventory planning and synchronizing supply chain demands.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Boeing First‑Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you must complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete this assessment will remove you from consideration.

Location: The position is 100% onsite and the candidate must work at one of the listed locations.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in Supplier Management, Supply Chain and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • 3+ years of experience with data analytics
  • 3+ years of experience demonstrating executive presence with exceptional written and oral communication skills; able to influence senior leaders, present complex technical/organizational matters clearly, and lead high‑stakes discussions.
  • One year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temporary manager, large‑scale cross‑functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
  • 5+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • 3+ years leading critical projects
  • 5+ years of experience with Supply Chain, Supplier Management, and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • 5+ years of experience in materials planning or inventory control process role in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with safety and quality processes
  • Aerospace or manufacturing experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a role that involves strategic planning and risk identification

Total Rewards

Summary pay range (Level K): $125,500 - $141,075
