Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Senior Director of Strategic Sourcing & Procurement to lead direct procurement and sourcing activities across our Global Lottery business. This highly visible leadership role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that support approximately $250M in annual spend, while driving cost optimization, supplier performance, operational excellence, and supply chain resilience.

Reporting to the Vice President of Global Supply Chain Operations, you will lead a team of procurement professionals and collaborate with executive stakeholders across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Engineering, Sales, Legal, and Operations to support business growth and customer commitments.

Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Leadership

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies across key lottery product categories, including hardware, terminals, vending equipment, instant tickets, and print materials.
  • Monitor global commodity markets and supply chain conditions to identify risks, opportunities, and sourcing strategies.
  • Lead high-value supplier negotiations and commercial agreements that support business objectives.

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Build and strengthen partnerships with global suppliers and contract manufacturers.
  • Establish supplier performance metrics, business reviews, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Drive innovation, quality improvements, and risk mitigation initiatives throughout the supplier network.

Cost Optimization & Value Creation

  • Deliver annual cost savings and value engineering initiatives while maintaining quality, service, and compliance standards.
  • Develop pricing strategies that support financial performance and competitive positioning.
  • Ensure sourcing activities adhere to company policies, regulatory requirements, and procurement best practices.

Supply Chain & Risk Management

  • Identify and mitigate risks related to global supply chain disruptions, geopolitical events, tariffs, and market volatility.
  • Lead sourcing strategies that improve business continuity and supply assurance.

Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)

  • Lead S&OP processes and facilitate alignment across Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, and Product teams.
  • Balance demand, supply, inventory, and financial objectives to ensure operational effectiveness.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sourcing and procurement organization.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support customer contracts and business development initiatives.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee procurement operations, including RFPs, RFQs, contract management, purchase orders, and supplier governance.
  • Implement best-in-class procurement tools, systems, and processes.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and provide executive-level reporting.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex supplier negotiations and managing large-scale sourcing initiatives.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and commercial acumen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of procurement and strategic sourcing leadership experience.
  • Experience managing global supplier networks and international sourcing programs.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, direct materials sourcing, and complex supply chain environments.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $154,258 - $250,000. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
