Description
As an LPN Charge Nurse you will, coordinate and direct the provision of high quality nursing care services to the residents on one or more nursing stations. Assuring that the residents are helped to function at their highest practical level of living. Ensuring that the residents individual comprehensive care plan is in accordance with their ongoing needs assessment, the medical treatment prescribed by their physician, and Stonehill's administrative policies and professional nursing/pharmacy procedures. Administer medications and prescribed treatments to the residents. Assures that proper record keeping and charting is done each shift in an accurate and timely manner. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Completion of a professional course of study in nursing and attain an Iowa LPN License.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in professional nursing practices, procedures and application of technical knowledge to care for elderly residents.
  • Effective verbal and written skills. Skills in the use of standard nursing charting procedures.
  • Caring and compassionate attitude towards others.
