Job description

Florida Institute of Technology is a growing, top-ranked university with over 2,000,000 square feet of facilities. The Director of Capital Projects and Planning provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the University's capital planning, renovation and construction initiatives.

This position directs the planning and execution of capital and non-capital projects from concept through closeout while ensuring alignment with institutional priorities, campus master planning objectives, budget expectations and operational needs. The Director leads the Project Management team, manages relationships with internal stakeholders and external consultants and serves as the University's primary representative for capital project delivery and planning efforts.

This role is responsible for advancing projects through disciplined project management practices, financial stewardship, regulatory compliance and proactive communication to support the University's long-term mission and growth.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience.

This position develops and implements policies, procedures, goals, and standards that support the University's mission and strategic objectives. Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Facilities.
