Your Impact
The Sr. Director of Aviation develops and institutes department policies and procedures, ensuring the upmost safety and quality standards are met. The director prepares and is accountable for the Lowe's operating budget to include operating expenses, facilities, supplies, associates, training, and capital expenses (if applicable). The Sr. Director of Aviation reports to senior management on aviation department needs, to include equipment needs (aircraft, maintenance or otherwise). The Sr. Director of Aviation manages a team of pilots, maintenance professionals and other associates to ensure proper execution of the aviation function. The Sr. Director establishes and maintains partnerships with Lowe's executives and associates. This leader will also hires and develop a diverse team of qualified professionals to deliver superior avionic transportation services to Lowe's executives and associates.
What You Will Do
Creates, institutes and manages aviation department policies and procedures, including flight, maintenance and basic departmental policies.
Establish and maintains a comprehensive aviation safety program.
Heads the operations of Lowe's aircraft within FAA regulations.
Oversees functions which impact Lowe's aviation operations (e.g. maintenance, crew scheduling, load control, equipment scheduling).
Maintains a rigorous training program to ensure all staff are properly trained and meet licensing/regulatory requirements.
Develops a team including pilots and maintenance crew.
Coordinates with Global Security and other relevant points of contact to execute the strategy for the safe transportation of Lowe's executives and employees.
Accountable for all department operations, including strategies around fleet and hanger selection and use.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
ATP or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
7 years of Experience managing various aspects of flight departments
5 Years of general aviation experience
