Job description

Head of Supply Chain and Procurement

Location: Seattle, WA (onsite)

Compensation: $180,000-$220,000

Overview
The Head of Procurement leads global sourcing, supplier strategy, and procurement execution within a highly regulated aerospace manufacturing environment. This role owns sourcing strategy across direct and indirect spend, drives cost and performance improvements, and ensures supply continuity in support of production schedules, quality requirements, and ontime delivery commitments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead global sourcing initiatives supporting aerospace and defense manufacturing, including supplier identification, qualification, and onboarding
  • Own negotiations and administration of complex supplier agreements, longterm pricing, and capacity commitments
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives focused on total cost of ownership (TCO), shouldcost modeling, and lifecycle management
  • Develop and execute strategic category plans across aerospacecritical commodities and services
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risk related to capacity constraints, long leadtime components, and geopolitical exposure
  • Establish and manage supplier scorecards, KPIs, and quality / delivery performance metrics
  • Serve as procurement lead for SIOP, ensuring supplier readiness aligns with aerospace production demand
  • Ensure supplier compliance with AS9100, ITAR, and EAR requirements, including proper flowdowns and audits
  • Lead supply base transitions and sourcing shifts with zero impact to production or quality
  • Drive procurement process improvement, ERP optimization, and adoption of sourcing best practices
  • Oversee logistics, receiving, and warehouse strategy to ensure uninterrupted material flow to production
  • Build, mentor, and lead a highperformance procurement organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain leadership experience
  • Direct experience supporting aerospace and/or defense manufacturing environments
  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100 quality systems and exportcontrolled supply chains
  • Proven success negotiating with Tier 1 and Tier 2 aerospace suppliers
  • Experience managing longlead, engineered, and regulated components
  • Advanced ERP experience and strong Excel skills
  • CPSM, CPM, or APICS (CSCP or CPIM) certifications preferred
