Position Overview

Core Responsibilities

• Electrical Infrastructure Design: Lead the engineering and development of complex power distribution systems specifically tailored for high-availability data center facilities.

• Technical Stewardship: Steer the creation of detailed electrical schematics, construction documentation, and high-fidelity drawings from schematic design through construction administration.

• Multidisciplinary Integration: Coordinate seamlessly with MEP peers, architects, and project managers to ensure electrical systems are perfectly integrated within the broader building envelope.

• Engineering Analysis: Conduct rigorous technical analysis to optimize system performance, reliability, and energy efficiency in advanced technology environments.

• Code Authority: Ensure every design meets the most stringent industry codes, client-specific requirements, and modern engineering standards.

• Team Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and project-level leadership to junior engineers and designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.

• Project Lifecycle Management: Manage deliverables across all phases of the project, providing innovative solutions to technical challenges as they arise during construction.

• Innovation & Research: Maintain the firm's competitive edge by staying at the forefront of advancements in data center electrical infrastructure and emerging engineering technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.

• Experience: 8+ years of experience in electrical system design within a consulting engineering or building systems environment.

• Technical Expertise: Proven track record designing heavy power distribution and building electrical systems for large-scale facilities.

• Software Proficiency: Expert command of AutoCAD and standard electrical engineering analysis tools.

• Communication: Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or a clear path to obtaining licensure.

• BIM Acumen: Professional experience with Revit and BIM coordination for complex MEP systems.

• Sector Expertise: Direct experience with data center projects or large-scale mission-critical infrastructure.

• Leadership Drive: Demonstrated ability to manage electrical scopes on major projects and a passion for mentoring junior staff.
