Job description

Purpose of the Position: Act as a the Project liaison between the customer and EFI Automotive. Understand the needs of the customer and offer reasonable continuous improvement solutions, such as technical changes and EcoTechs. Perform project management tasks for the development of the product: CAD and electronics department, prototype phase, validation of the product, for the industrialization activities and quality assurance. The program manager is responsible for developing the project within the budget cost, the lead time and the quality of the product in line with EFI internal procedures from decision making to release in production. Manage the introduction of the changes in accordance of Customer and Internal rules. Also propose new changes to maintain EFC product profitability all through the serial life of the products.


This position is Onsite.


Job Duties

Essential functions:


· Lead Customer interactions

· Create and maintain detailed project plans including product requirement documents, development budgets, manpower forecasts, technical objectives, schedules, project and product cost estimates.

· Lead cross functional team to meet internal and customer milestones,

· Lead teammates to deliver on time, with the expected quality level,

· Make sure changes are robust and interface with all departments to deliver on time,

· Create and maintain product and part records using appropriate systems and processes (ECR/CCB).

· Validate manufacturing equipment and fixture specifications, if needed,

· Manage and coordinate cost reduction projects such as Ressourcing or technical changes,

· Assign and plan appropriate resources for these different time frame regarding technical changes

· Provide a regular report which presents project progress

· Participate to the capacity analysis

· Actively participate the margin management loops and propose ideas to maintain products profitability


Program Manager:


· Make the SOP’s as smooth as possible: Approximately 6 months prior to SOP’s, make sure that programs are validated. If not raise topics that need to be addressed and fixed on time

· Actively participate to weekly project reviews and raise all topics that are not in compliance to the target.

· Prepare, Present and Pass program Gates KPI to Group Program Authority.

· Fill the specific digital form


Technical changes: ECOTHECH


· In collaboration with Group Serial Program Manager, Purchasing and Supply chain team, co-define the roadmap to be deployed

· Prepare all risks analysis, best possible timing as well as qualification plan, based on risk analysis

· Drive the interface with customer to make changes happen.

· Ensure customer presentations

· Work with Supply chain and R2 teams to make it happen in production floor.


RFQ’s – support FAE and Sales team in their order intake quest


· On FAE/Sales team request support technical data such as business case building.

· Preferred contact (SPOC) to Sales in Detroit / FAE in France for all questions related to Elkmont – make sure to answers are delivered on time

· Upon requests contribute to fill the cost sheets on the relevant tools (as of today TM1)

· Actively participates in Safety Committee and continuous improvement initiatives.

Authority:

• Is accountable to deliver Programs on time and in profitable manner, with the right quality standards,

• Actively contribute to the smooth SOPs,

• Contribute to the Intake order pipeline by providing the relevant information and support to FAE,

• To directly supervise and make recommendations relating to information technology and/or computer system / equipment updates and upgrades.

• Make recommendations and communicate regularly with Group Program director / Site General Manager and other EFC team members.

• All employees have a quality and safety responsibility; therefore, having the authority to stop work processes to correct quality and/or safety problems, or quarantine items in the appropriate designated area until the issues are resolved


Accountabilities:

· Comply with Quality, Safety and Environment production standards.

· Inform or report any malfunction that may impact the product, the environment and/or the safety of personnel.

· Adhere to and implement everything in its power to achieve the Quality, Safety and Environment objectives and reduce the environmental impacts related to the activity of Electricfil Automotive.

· Individual is accountable for reviewing and improving team and operational efficiency.

· Accountable for ensuring compliance with all applicable plant, human resources, safety and quality procedures.

· Individual is responsible for informing the Plant Operations and General Manager of all issues affecting the security of the server system.

· Individual participates in work teams for information technology improvement.

· To strictly adhere to Company Safety and other policies as documented in Electricfil Handbook.

· Adhere to and implement everything in his/her power to achieve the Quality, Safety, and Environmental objectives and reduce the environmental impacts related to the activity of Electricfil Corporation.


Internal and/or external contacts:

· (Internally) Individual will interface with management, direct reports and all levels of personnel within the organization and serve as a trusted point of contact ensuring that IT solutions meet their needs while aligning with corporate objectives.

· (Internally) Individual will work closely with other engineers, maintenance, quality, NP Purchasing, production and EHS personnel within the EFC, Alabama site as well as with the Beynost, France broader global industrialization team and supporting team members.

· (Externally) Individual will interface with customer and supplier representatives. This will include participation in customer audits and visits as requested to ensure high-quality service and equipment sourcing.

Education and/or Experience:

· Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial)

· 5 + years of related work experience

· Specific knowledge (language, IT…..):

o MS Project / Planning

o Excel and Word mastery,

o Finance for project

o Knowledge of quality tools, Global 8- D, SPC, 5 Why and QRQC

o ERP mastery of production,


Technical skills:

Problem solving

Strong working knowledge of ISO 9000, IATF 16949, APQP, SPC, PPAP

Knowledge of high-volume Mechanotrics manufacturing processes
