The Job:
As an Automation/Robotics Engineer, you'll be part of our Automation Engineering team as an onsite employee. You will be responsible for programming, maintenance and installation of new and existing equipment and robots. This includes coordinating schedules, follow-up of assignments, maintaining quality and production standards, and ensuring that all Company procedures are followed. You'll get to:
  • Train new engineering personnel.
  • Support Co - Op Program (i.e. candidate review, interviewing, scheduling, etc.).
  • Work in a professional environment to design and implement production related equipment.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Facility, and Engineering departments to provide input and direction for production operations.
  • Participate in the design and acquisition of new machines and equipment.
  • Provide cost estimates for projects and oversee turnkey operation of said projects.
  • Evaluate existing equipment and make recommendations for productivity improvements.
  • Identify and complete lean manufacturing projects (e.g. 3P planning)
  • Maintain safety, quality and production standards according to ISO and company procedures.
  • Help identify and recommend both new and existing computer interface needs.
  • Complete capital projects for both current and future states to meet time and budgetary needs.
  • Travel to other facilities for learning/training and continuous improvement as needed.

The Person:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of leadership experience required.
  • Safety standards NFPA 70E- Lockout Tagout, coach and hold team accountable for safety procedures.
  • Must possess the experience and knowledge to effectively manage and direct all engineering related
    activities.
  • Have a strong electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, robotics, and mechanical background.
  • Lead equipment/systems trouble shooting and repair.
  • Proven experience with project development and management through successful completion.
  • High level of organizational and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of CAD, mechanical drawings, blueprint reading, and advanced arithmetic.
  • Adept with Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

The Salary range for this position is $64,400.00 - $103,700.00
