We are seeking an experienced Software Developer that will work closely with the Product Leaders of our Analytical and Automation Software (CHRONECT Studio and Chronos) division to design, develop and maintain new apps and functionality which address the future needs of our pharmaceutical customers.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications for mass spectrometry data analysis and automation systems
  • Ensure project timelines are met, and deliverables are of high quality
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and maintainability
  • Participate in the planning and execution of software development projects
  • Work closely with research teams to integrate software solutions with automated hardware solutions
  • Provide technical software support for internal automation specialists and pharmaceutical customers
  • Document software designs, specifications, and user manuals


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science-related field or relevant experience
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Experience with or interest in software-hardware interfacing and robotics
  • Experience with or interest in signal processing, data science, structural biology, mass spectrometry or chromatography (LC/MS)
  • Proficient with Windows desktop GUI technology such as WPF, WinForms, Avalonia or WinUI
  • Proficient with code version control systems (git). Direct experience with Azure DevOps is a plus
  • Familiar with VB.net, C++, Python, JavaScript or Lua
  • Familiar with relational (SQL) and document databases
  • Experience with continuous integration (CI). Direct experience with Azure Pipelines going from code commit to published artifact is a plus
  • Experience writing integration tests and unit tests using MSTest, NUnit, or xUnit
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC), modern application architecture and software design principles (SOLID)
  • Knowledge of common design patterns and data structures
  • Ability to learn quickly but also transfer and apply existing skillsets Proficient in C#, .NET Framework 4.8, .NET 8+ to new areas (new stacks, new frameworks, new programming languages, etc)
  • Analytical decision making – utilizing data-driven information and feedback to inform business level direction making
