Job description

Research Assistant Bioanalytical Pharmacokinetic (PK) research

Greenfield Indiana

Position is in a fast-paced laboratory specializing in smallmolecule analysis using High Performance Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (HPLC-MS) and advanced automation, including robotic systems for sample handling.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze biological or chemical samples for various compounds in compliance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.

  • Compile and report results to management.

  • Organize, conduct, and evaluate analytical testing and results.

  • Maintain study documentation and laboratory records.

  • Set up, operate, and maintain general laboratory equipment, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.

  • Perform quality control reviews of data.

  • Communicate deviations or issues that may affect data integrity to the Study Director, Principal Investigator, or management, and participate in corrective actions.

  • Assist with method development and validation for various analytes across multiple matrices.

  • Perform complex analyses using new or unfamiliar methods, seeking scientific guidance when needed.

  • Recommend improvements to test methods or procedures.

  • Participate in project meetings, contributing to planning, monitoring, and guiding project work.

  • Support client visits and help communicate technical information.

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives.

  • Assist in evaluating data for inclusion in written reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Chemistry or a related scientific field

  • 6 months or more of LCMS experience

  • 6 months or more operating, calibrating, and troubleshooting quadrupole LC-MS

  • 1 year or more of experience with standard laboratory equipment (balances, pipettes, centrifuges).

  • 1 year or more of HPLC experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to design and independently conduct tests and perform initial data analysis.

  • 6 months or more of PK (pharmacokinetic) experience

  • 1 year or more of analytical chemistry experience highly preferred, ideally in industry/CRO environment.

  • 1 year or more of experience performing Mass Spectrometry experience

Additional Job Standards

  • Comfort working in high production scientific lab

  • Comfortable working with samples from Animal Research

  • Ability to start working full-time in the next 2-8 weeks.

Pay Range

$24-$28 per hour

All job offers are based on a candidate's skills, relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, internal equity, and market data.

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
