Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Care

Job Type: Full Time | Days

Schedule: 7:30 AM- 4:00 PM

Join our team and make a meaningful impact inpatient care every day. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Wound Care LPN who is dedicated to delivering high-quality care and improving patient outcomes. You will help the RN's with providing comprehensive nursing care, including but not limited to advanced wound care for patients across the lifespan, as well as other clinical activities that support safe, high-quality patient care. This role follows all WHC policies and procedures, established care protocols, and Diversified Clinical Services Practice Guidelines, working in collaboration with physicians and under the direction of a Registered Nurse when applicable.

How you'll contribute

A Wound Care RN who excels in this role:

  • The RN must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients served on his/her assigned unit as described in unit based competencies, policies and procedures.

  • In collaboration with other staff members, provides bedside patient care, implementing the interventions identified in the plan of care, as directed by physician.

  • Ensure appropriate patient care documentation.

  • Implement and assure compliance with wound center and hospital policies and procedures.

  • Maintain familiarity with regulatory standards.

  • Report quality of care issues to clinical manager or Program Director.

  • Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies.

  • Communicates with all team members regarding therapeutic interventions.

What we're looking for:

  • Education: Associate's Degree Required 

  • License: Current RN to practice in the state.

  • Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

  • Certifications: BCLS or within one week of hire/transfer

  • At least 1 year in Wound Care experience required
