Job description

Position Summary:
Supervises the Patient Financial Services and ProBill managers to ensure that all aspects of the day-to-day operations are completed timely and accurately. Responsible for setting departmental goals that are aligned with the goals and values of the facility. Responsible for the activities of cashiering, billing, and credit and collections for Granville Health System. Coordinates operations with other hospital units and medical staff. Interprets policies and recommends changes to administration. Interviews and hires new employees and assigns them to various work areas. Processes information on the facility's Health Information System as required in performing job responsibilities. Responsible for leading and developing the PFS and Probill staff and fostering employee engagement. Leverages technology and process redesign to improve operational and organizational efficiencies. Helps to maintain financial viability for the facility.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduation from a recognized college or university with a degree in business administration or related area or a 2 year degree with two years hospital experience in the Patient Financial Services area is required. Three to six months on-the-job training is usually required. Strong communication skills both written and oral, team player. Medicare and Medicaid regulatory knowledge a must.
Preferred: Two years experience in a similar position within a hospital is preferred. Meditech system experience preferred.
