Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for a Test Conductor / Principal Test Conductor, specialized in hardware/software integration and lab operations to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (STT) organization. This role is located in Roy, UT.

In this role you will be supporting Lab Operations. Duties will consist of assisting with laboratory design, test planning and preparation, scheduling of test events, and assisting in the execution of integration checkout procedures. In this role you will ensure test stations and assets are configured and ready to test by deploying software and configuring hardware on test stations. In addition, you will work closely with MA to maintain and validate test station software and hardware configuration. Participation in test readiness reviews, acceptance testing and integration events will also be required. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of detailed plans, schedules for integration checkout procedures
  • Contribute to test development and review in collaboration with other engineering disciplines, systems test and engineering management
  • Ability to develop and execute software installation, integration, and acceptance test procedures
  • Coordinate test equipment and personnel requirements for safe and efficient execution of tests
  • Provide test support and make real-time decisions regarding safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Participate in post-test data evaluation and discrepancy resolution
  • Contribute to the configuration management of the lab
  • Serve as the focal point between internal and external organizations to develop test data requirements
  • Excellent communication skills required, must work well in a team environment, and must work independently to solve a variety of complex problems

Basic Qualifications:

  • T02: 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters, or 6 years of equivalent experience in the area of aeronautical aviation test and/or evaluation/hardware support.
  • T03: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD. Or 9 years of equivalent experience in the area of aeronautical aviation test and/or evaluation/hardware support

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, IT, Networking, or equivalent
  • Experience in lab integration and test activities
  • Experience with formal software life cycle development methodologies
  • Experience with test equipment use and system troubleshooting
  • Active DoD Top Secret and SAP/SAR access

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
