Position Summary:

As the Spa Director, you will lead the day-to-day operations of our luxury wellness destination, ensuring an exceptional guest experience while upholding the highest standards of service excellence. This leadership role is responsible for creating a welcoming, restorative environment where guests receive personalized, world-class care. The successful candidate will inspire and develop a high-performing team, drive operational excellence, and cultivate a culture of hospitality, wellness, and continuous improvement, while maintaining the Spa's reputation as a premier luxury destination.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide inspiring leadership, mentorship, and day-to-day direction to the Spa team, including Registered Massage Therapists, Estheticians, and Reception staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and service excellence.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing team by implementing effective talent acquisition, onboarding, training, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Champion a luxury guest experience by maintaining exceptional service standards, proactively resolving guest concerns, and leading by example through a visible, hands‑on approach to daily operations.
  • Drive the Spa's financial performance by achieving revenue, profitability, retail sales, and budget targets through strategic planning, effective scheduling, expense management, and performance analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance revenue through innovative programming, promotions, retail merchandising, service offerings, and guest loyalty initiatives while maximizing operational efficiency.
  • Design and implement ongoing training and professional development programs to ensure team members remain current on industry trends, wellness innovations, luxury service standards, and product knowledge.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning by staying informed of emerging spa, wellness, beauty, and hospitality trends, and introducing new ideas, treatments, technologies, and best practices that elevate the guest experience.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Spa, ensuring the facility is impeccably maintained, clean, safe, and consistently reflects the highest standards of luxury and professionalism.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating favorable agreements while sourcing high-quality products and services that align with the Spa's brand and guest experience.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations, licensing requirements, employment standards, and company policies while maintaining the highest operational and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate closely with hotel leadership to develop strategic initiatives, marketing campaigns, special events, and wellness programming that enhance the Spa's visibility, guest satisfaction, and overall business performance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, guest feedback, and operational metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, implement action plans, and achieve both short- and long-term business objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in a luxury spa, wellness, hospitality, or resort environment, with demonstrated success managing daily operations and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams while fostering a positive, collaborative, and service-focused culture.
  • Strong business acumen with experience managing budgets, achieving revenue and profitability goals, analyzing key performance indicators, and driving retail and service sales.
  • Demonstrated success in employee development, performance management, and retention of top talent.
  • Hands‑on leadership style with the ability to balance strategic planning with active involvement in day‑to‑day operations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of spa operations, luxury service standards, wellness practices, and guest experience management.
  • Passion for continuous learning with a commitment to staying current on emerging trends, treatments, products, and innovations within the spa, wellness, and hospitality industries.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with guests, team members, vendors, and hotel leadership.
