Job description

  • Develop and execute the overall U.S. Marine strategy across Ocean Marine and Inland Marine product lines.
  • Lead the profitable growth and expansion of the U.S. Marine division, including Marine Cargo, Stock Throughput, Builder's Risk, and Contractors' Equipment
  • Drive new business production through the development of strategic relationships with retail and wholesale brokers
  • Manage and expand existing broker and client relationships while identifying new market opportunities.
  • Establish underwriting guidelines, growth objectives, and profitability targets consistent with the Company's strategic goals.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, market trends, and competitive conditions
  • Work closely with executive leadership
  • Represent the Company at industry conferences, broker meetings, client presentations, and trade association events.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, delegated authorities, underwriting standards, and internal policies.
  • Prepare and present portfolio management reports, production updates, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Travel domestically for business development, broker management, and industry events. International travel may be required.
 
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Minimum seven years of Marine Underwriting Experience.
  • Proven leadership experience managing Ocean Marine, Inland Marine, or a combination of both product lines.
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing profitable underwriting portfolios.
  • Experience leading, developing, and managing underwriting and production teams.
  • Strong analytical and portfolio management capabilities.
  • Preference for Atlanta, GA, but open to a possible remote role on the East Coast.
