If you meet these qualifications, we would love to meet you:

  • Must be a licensed Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) in the state(s) of practice, with training or experience in caring for chronically or terminally ill patients
  • Maintains active, unrestricted medical and DEA licenses in the state of Texas
  • Strong knowledge of primary care and palliative care principles
  • Expertise in pain and symptom management
  • (Preferred) Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
  • (Preferred) Experience in hospice, home-based care, or community-based palliative care programs
  • (Preferred) Prior leadership or medical director experience

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance on pain and symptom management to clinicians and care teams
  • Review appropriateness and quality of non-hospice palliative care services across the continuum of care
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director to ensure clinical excellence and adherence to best practices
  • Conduct periodic reviews of patient care delivery and outcomes
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and complete clinical documentation in accordance with organizational policies
  • Provide ongoing mentorship, education, and performance feedback
  • Lead monthly meetings with palliative care clinicians and support staff
  • Participate in leadership meetings with the Medical Director, Executive Director, and senior leadership
  • Monitor program performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
