Responsibilities

Southridge Behavioral Hospital is a beautiful and new state-of-the-art facility. As a joint venture with the Trinity Health System and Universal Health Services, we serve up to 96 adult and geriatric patients across four units.

We believe that caring, dedicated and valued staff provide exceptional patient care. We are seeking high caliber applicants that will provide innovative and evidence-based care focused on our patient’s individual needs, comfort and safety. Position Description:

The Cook is responsible for safely preparing, cooking and presenting meals according to hospital recipe and menu for patients, staff and visitors. Experience in scratch cooking is required.

Hours and Location:

40 hours a week, including every other weekend. Weekend shifts are 6am to 6:30pm.

We are located on the south side of Grand Rapids, near the intersection of M-6 and Byron Center Ave SW: 6291 Venture Hills Boulevard SW, Byron Center, MI 49315


Qualifications

Cook, Dietary Department Job Requirements:

High School Required.

Experience as a cook or cook’s aide in an institutional setting is preferred. 

Experience with scratch cooking required. 
Must be able to follow oral and written instructions in order to operate food service equipment and follow direction
Must be able to complete assigned tasks in order to provide an efficient, safe, sanitary, attractive and orderly facility.
