Position Brand Description:

The Global Facilities Delivery (GFD) Organization, part of Corporate Engineering, delivers new and renovated capital assets around the world. Our mission is accomplished through a highly leveraged organization of design, construction and qualification contractors.

Many of the assets delivered focus on manufacturing of medical innovations and delivering innovative solutions to patients. Some of the assets delivered support an expansion in supply of existing medicines.

Key Objectives/Deliverables

  • Project Control Management: Partner in leading project controls teams to deliver large capital programs of at least $500MM USD or more that are business-critical in nature. These teams will consist of both Lilly and Non-Lilly professionals, working to safely achieve project objectives from front-end planning (conceptual design) in a Brownfield or Greenfield site through operational qualification (cradle to grave). Project objectives are defined as delivering asset capability or capacity with safety, cost, schedule, and quality assurance.
  • Serve as an independent lead for project controls to ensure compliance with standard processes, driving consistency.
  • Help manage and direct all aspects of project control on major capital projects including, establishing cost, schedule and resource plan baselines, managing resources, influencing good contract strategy, establishing change control and risk management, monitoring actual costs, auditing pay applications, contracts management, forecast and cashflows.
  • Lead and train project control teams to deliver business objectives.
  • Ensure proper application of Lilly finance policies on capital projects.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in business management, finance, engineering, construction, or other related area or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in project controls on major industrial or manufacturing projects.

Additional Preferences:

  • Professional certification from a project control body such as RICS, AACE, or PMI.
  • Proficiency with project management systems, specifically SAP, Oracle Unifier, Primavera P6, Deltec Acumen Fuse, @Risk, etc. ).
  • Advanced understanding in financial concepts and estimating, cost management theory, project change and risk management, project planning and scheduling, and work and cost breakdown structures.
  • Capacity to lead through influence to achieve results
  • Ability to lead others through coaching
  • Capacity to think strategically, taking a long view at how to achieve objectives.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-disciplined, motivated, and able to work with limited supervision.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and innovative thinking
  • Willingness to relocate and/or travel to locations outside of home state/country.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

$66,000 - $171,600

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
